Assiniboine Summit Volleyball is seeking passionate, dedicated, and positive coaches who are committed to athlete development, building confidence, and creating a strong team culture.

Whether you're an experienced coach or looking to begin your coaching journey, we invite you to be part of building a club that will make a lasting impact on young athletes and our community.

Based in West Winnipeg

Our website, assiniboinesummitvolleyball.com, will be launching soon and will feature an online coaching application.

Coaching opportunities may include club teams, camps, clinics, and future development programs.

Head & Assistant Coaches

2027 Assiniboine Summit Volleyball Club – 15U & 16U Girls Teams

We are currently seeking Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for our 2027 club season.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience
- Demonstrate leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Be committed to athlete development and team success

Season Commitment

Coaches can expect:





- Approximately 3 practices per week (Sunday afternoons & weeknight practices between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM)
- Exhibition matches throughout the season
- Participation in 6–9 tournaments, including local and out-of-town events.

Additional Requirements

- Reliable transportation is required.
- Coaches are responsible for transporting club-provided equipment (volleyballs, carts, training equipment, etc.) to and from practices, games, and tournaments.
- Availability for occasional travel outside Winnipeg for tournaments. The 15U & 16U Girls Nationals are in Edmonton in May 2027.

Coach Compensation & Support

Honorarium

- Competitive honorarium based on factors such as experience, certifications, responsibilities, and age category coached.
- Specific details will be discussed during the interview process.

Travel

- Club-approved airfare or mileage reimbursement for out-of-town tournaments.

Accommodation

- Hotel accommodations provided for overnight tournament travel when applicable.

Meals

- Meal allowance per diem provided during club-approved travel events.

Coach Apparel

- Club coaching package including:
- Practice shirts
- Hoodie
- Sweatpants
- Team backpack

Coach Education

- Reimbursement for approved coaching courses, certifications, and professional development opportunities.

Junior Coaches

2027 Assiniboine Summit Volleyball Club

Junior Coaches are ideal for individuals interested in gaining coaching experience and learning the fundamentals of coaching in a supportive environment.

Qualifications





Applicants should:

- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Enjoy working with youth athletes.
- Be interested in developing their coaching skills.

No formal coaching certification or previous coaching experience is required.

Mentorship & Development

Junior Coaches will be paired with Head Coaches who will provide ongoing mentorship, instruction, and support throughout the season.

Commitment Expectations

- Attend as many regular practices and local tournaments as possible.
- Travel to out-of-town tournaments is optional and not expected.

Junior Coach Benefits

Volunteer Hours

- Opportunities to earn volunteer hours toward school or community service programs.

Honorarium

- Honorarium may be available based on commitment level, availability, and responsibilities.

Coach Apparel

- Practice shirt and sweatpants.

Coaching Education

- Reimbursement for required coaching certification courses needed to participate on the bench at provincial/national required events.

Travel Information

Travel is not expected for Junior Coaches; therefore:

- Travel, Hotel, Meal allowances are not provided.

Junior Coaches may have opportunities to travel with team and share accommodation with coaching staff when approved by the club.
