Why This Role is for You:
As a Shift Manager, you are a key player in ensuring smooth daily operations while inspiring and leading your team. You will support the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) by running productive work shifts, upholding brand and company standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will:
Key Responsibilities:
Team & Operational Oversight
- Directs and coordinates team members operating kitchen equipment and preparing, portioning, and serving food.
- Supervises tray assembly, order accuracy, and timely delivery of food orders or carts.
Planning & Inventory
- Forecasts daily menu requirements and prepares food production orders based on demand.
- Conduct inventory level and order food, equipment, and supplies to ensure smooth operations.
Food Safety & Quality
- Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Conducts audits on food quality, client satisfaction, cleanliness, and safety practices.
Maintenance & Equipment
- Maintains inventory of kitchen equipment and food items, arranging repairs as needed.
- Develops equipment maintenance schedules and evaluates new tools or products.
Scheduling & Training
- Creates team schedules and ensures adequate staffing across all shifts.
- Trains new and existing team members on processes, standards, and safety practices.
SKILLS:
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal Record Check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, Crouching, kneeling
Work Site Environment: Hot
Specific Skills:
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food; Estimate and order ingredients and supplies; Ensure food service and quality control; Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage; Prepare and submit reports; Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres; Supervise and check assembly of trays; Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys; Establish work schedules.
Ability to Supervise: 11-15 people.
Personal Suitability: Excellent written communication, Excellent oral communication, Team player, Client focus, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills: Establish methods to meet schedules, Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, Address customers’ complaints or concerns.

Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Safe Food Handling certificate.
Language: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate OR Equivalent Experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
