About the role

Main Event Security is hiring licensed Event Security Guards to work concerts, festivals, sporting events, private functions, and other special events across Toronto and the GTA. We have lots of work available and flexible scheduling, making this a great fit for anyone looking for steady casual shifts. Successful candidates can start immediately.

Responsibilities

- Provide a visible, skilled security presence at event venues and entry points
- Perform access control, guest screening, bag checks, and ticket/credential verification
- Monitor crowds, identify potential risks, and respond quickly to incidents
- De-escalate conflicts and manage disturbances calmly and professionally
- Direct and control the flow of foot traffic and manage entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Conduct foot patrols of the venue interior and perimeter
- Respond to emergencies, follow proper escalation procedures, and assist emergency services when required
- Complete accurate incident and activity reports




- Communicate effectively with the event team and fellow guards via radio
- Deliver strong customer service while keeping guests, staff, and property safe

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (required)
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Able to stand and patrol for extended periods, in various weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual, with flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous event, crowd management, or security experience is an asset
- Standard First Aid / CPR certification is an asset
