We are a growing home builder seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and expanding organization.
Position Summary
This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable managing transactional accounting, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring financial information is up to date. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, preferably within the home building industry, and demonstrate a proactive approach with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and verify all invoices by job site
- Ensure proper approvals and supporting documentation for all invoices
- Accurately input invoices into QuickBooks Software
- Manage all check runs, including preparation and distribution
- Communicate effectively with all contractors and vendors
- Liaise with management to ensure expectations and timelines are met
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies with contractors and vendors
- Assist with month-end close tasks
- Assist in improving current processes and identifying inefficiencies
- Support the finance team with ad hoc projects as required
- Record and monitor monthly rentals and interim occupancy fees
- Collaborate and assist with accounting team for audits and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education required
- Robust accounting knowledge and fundamentals
- Experience in the home building or construction industry
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with QuickBooks software

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
