Production Technician - Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on, and adaptable Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is centered around operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting our proprietary automated cannabis pre-roll manufacturing equipment, while also providing support across a variety of production functions as business needs evolve.

This is not solely a machine operator position. The successful candidate will be a versatile team member who is comfortable moving between departments, learning new processes, and contributing wherever needed to keep production running efficiently. A strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Automated Equipment Operation & Support

- Set up, operate, adjust, clean, and monitor automated manufacturing equipment.
- Learn the operation of our proprietary production equipment and become a subject matter expert.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.

Production Support

As production priorities change, support a variety of manufacturing operations, including but not limited to:

- Product formulations and infusions, including performing calculations to achieve target formulations.
- Operating and supporting semi-automated vape filling equipment.
- Unpackaging materials needed for daily production.
- Assisting with packaging operations and providing guidance to general labour staff.
- Inventory receiving,



counting, weighing, and material handling in collaboration with the Inventory and Quality teams.
- Supporting new production initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects as required.

Quality & Documentation

- Perform in-process quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Accurately complete production records, batch documentation, and equipment logs.
- Monitor production KPIs and report quality or process deviations.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices (GPP).

Safety & Continuous Improvement

- Follow all health and safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to resolve production challenges.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical, manufacturing, engineering, or related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment, preferably automated machinery.
- Robust mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic repairs.




- Comfortable learning new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Basic mathematical skills, including calculations required for production formulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Details

Schedule

- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime as required
