Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Electrical 2nd - 5 term apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in electrical systems, construction, and blueprint reading while working alongside experienced electricians. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a basic understanding of electrical concepts. This role is essential for supporting electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects.

Duties

- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and construction environments
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, conduit bending, and equipment assembly
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Work with low voltage systems as well as high voltage components under supervision
- Support the setup of electrical panels and control systems according to specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Learn to identify electrical issues through visual inspection and basic testing methods
- Participate in training sessions to improve technical skills and knowledge of electrical codes and standards

Qualifications





- Prior experience or background in commercial/residential and industrial electrician work or construction is required.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and blueprint reading is preferred
- Basic understanding of low voltage systems and electrical safety practices
- Strong interest in developing skills within the electrical trade with a focus on industrial applications
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions carefully
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework related to electrical systems is advantageous

- Working at Heights (from a Ministry of labour approved training provider)
- Elevated work platform
- Worker Health and Safety Awarness.
- WHIMS.
- Must be a member in valuable standing with Skilled Trades Ontario.

Pay: $18.18-$30.00 per hour
