Join our dynamic team as a Junior Project Lead specializing in Sheet Metal Fabrication! In this energetic role, you will coordinate and oversee sheet metal projects from inception to completion, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency. You will work closely with skilled technicians and engineers to facilitate manufacturing processes, manage project timelines, and uphold safety standards. Duties
- Assist in planning and organizing sheet metal fabrication projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and deadlines
- Coordinate daily operations on the shop floor, including machine setup and workflow management
- Support the use of CNC Punching (TRUMPF), and Press Brake (TRUMPF) machines to produce precise components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical schematics to ensure accurate manufacturing
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all machining, welding, assembly, and material handling activities
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production processes
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal fabrication and machining techniques
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming or operation of CNC Punching and Bending machines is highly desirable
- Familiarity with mechanical tools such as calipers, hand tools, and measuring devices
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings accurately
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus; certification is a benefit but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments
- Mechanical aptitude with a proactive attitude towards learning recent skills in machining and fabrication
