Sanitation Worker - Blandford, NS

Nova Staffing is currently hiring Sanitation Workers on behalf of our client in Blandford, Nova Scotia. This is a full-time opportunity offering a stable schedule, competitive pay, and weekly pay.

Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment according to company standards
- Ensure walls, ceilings, and floors meet hygiene and production requirements
- Clean production lines and complete sanitation duties within required timeframes
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bins, scoops, trays, containers, and other production equipment
- Move and dismantle equipment for proper cleaning and sanitation
- Work as part of a team to ensure all equipment is prepared for the next production day
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Comfortable working with and around raw fish products
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic




- Comfortable working in a cold and wet environment
- Comfortable completing sanitation documentation
- Willing to learn proper chemical handling, storage, and usage procedures
- Willing to be trained on equipment dismantling and reassembly
- Steel-toed safety rubber boots required (not needed immediately)
- All jewelry, including piercings, rings, and necklaces, must be removed while working

Compensation & Benefits

- $20.00 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- Overtime opportunities available
- Boot allowance and wet weather gear allowance
