Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic Japanese culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and grow within the food service industry.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cooking on GRILL and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with plating, garnishing, and presentation of dishes before serving
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours




- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a protected working environment for all team members

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking on GRILL, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic understanding of meal preparation and serving procedures
- Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of the importance of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail in the kitchen

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
