We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Childcare Provider to support families by providing attentive and nurturing care for an autistic child in a home setting. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that promotes the child's development and well-being. Duties
- Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary needs
- Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and nap times
- Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote learning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized caregiving space, including light cleaning tasks
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding child's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Take children to school and pick them up.
- Follow all safety protocols and caregiving guidelines to ensure a secure environment
Skills
- Experience working with children, including infants and toddlers
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices for children with disabilities or special needs
- Ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks, including meal planning and cooking skills
- Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and attentiveness
- Experience with teaching or educational activities suitable for young children
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy caregiving environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children and parents
- Flexibility to adapt to different family routines and child-specific needs
