POSITION: Weekend Automation Technician

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

SHIFT: Weekend- Friday to Sunday 3pm -3:30am

LOCATION: Belleville Distribution Centre

The Automation Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repair on all current and new technology

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment per schedule or as needed.
- Diagnose technical and mechanical problems and identify the best method of repair.
- Perform installation and upgrades of new and existing equipment.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC or any other maintenance related work as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- College diploma in Manufacturing, Mechatronics & Electrical an asset
- Strong mechanical skill set/background
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with little supervision.
- 1-2 years’ experience in various maintenance areas including electrical (motors, wiring, panels), mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and PLC’s in a manufacturing environment an asset.
- Ability to read schematics

Pay: $60,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
