Join Our Growing Transload Terminal Team

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Millwright to support operation of our bulk agricultural and intermodal transload terminal. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a wide variety of material handling equipment, mobile equipment, and terminal infrastructure that support rail, truck, and containerized operations.

Our facility specializes in:

- Bulk agricultural transloading from railcars and highway trailers
- Under-rail receiving through three receiving pits
- Trailer tipper and container tipper operations
- Bulk product handling and storage
- Agricultural bagging operations
- Pulp bale transfer between railcars, trailers, and shipping containers
- Container handling using Empty Handlers, Reach Stackers, and Forklifts
- Truck fleet support for container deliveries to port terminals
- Mobile conveyor systems for bag-to-bag transfers

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance

- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain terminal equipment and infrastructure.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete emergency repairs.
- Install, align, and commission new equipment as required.
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify opportunities for reliability improvements.

Bulk Material Handling Equipment

Maintain and repair:

- Bucket elevators
- Belt and drag conveyors
- Diverter valves
- Transfer chutes
- Product bins and hoppers
- Rail receiving systems
- Trailer tippers
- Container tippers
- Air compressors
- Pneumatic systems
- Dust collection equipment

Typical duties include:

- Bearing replacement
- Conveyor tracking and adjustments
- Chain and sprocket replacement
- Gearbox repairs and replacement
- Shaft alignment
- Pulley replacement
- Hydraulic repairs




- Welding and fabrication support

Pulp and Bagging Operations

- Support maintenance of pulp bale transfer equipment.
- Maintain bagging machines, scales, sewing systems, and conveyors.
- Troubleshoot production interruptions and mechanical failures.
- Support continuous operation of loading and packaging equipment.

Mobile Equipment Support

Assist with maintenance and inspections of:

- Reach Stackers
- Empty Container Handlers
- Forklifts
- Terminal support equipment

Truck Fleet Support

Assist with maintenance activities on trucks used for container transportation, including:

- PM services
- Mechanical inspections
- Brake and suspension repairs
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance

Documentation Responsibilities

The successful candidate will maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, including:

- Work order completion and updates
- Preventive maintenance records
- Equipment inspection reports
- Breakdown and repair reports
- Equipment history documentation
- Parts usage tracking
- Downtime reporting

Experience with Maintenance software (CMMS) systems is considered an asset.

Parts Inventory Responsibilities

The Maintenance Millwright will assist with maintaining an accurate and organized spare parts inventory by:

- Recording parts consumption
- Identifying stock replenishment requirements
- Assisting with cycle counts and inventory audits
- Maintaining parts storage areas
- Identifying critical spare parts requirements
- Supporting inventory accuracy initiatives

- Motors

- Hydraulic hoses and fittings
- Pneumatic valves
- Chains and sprockets
- Air compressor components
- Sensors and switches

Safety Responsibilities

- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings and training.
- Report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Wear required PPE at all times.

Qualifications

Required

- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification or equivalent experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with conveyors, bucket elevators, and bulk material handling equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Preferred

- Experience in grain handling, agriculture, marine terminal, transload, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience working around mobile equipment and heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
