Position Overview

Join EDL Building Solutions as a Lead Journeyman HVAC/R Service Technician and bring your expertise to a team that values quality work, client satisfaction, and dependable tradespeople. In this role, you’ll work on a range of commercial service, maintenance and installation projects, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC/R systems with a focus on professionalism and precision.

What You’ll Do

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems in commercial and light industrial settings.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls with accuracy and efficiency.




- Communicate with clients to explain issues and provide clear solutions.
- Complete all job documentation, including diagnostics, parts used, and follow-up recommendations.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians, apprentices, and other departments to ensure smooth job execution.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure installations and repairs meet code.
- Represent EDL in a professional manner at all times.

What You Bring

- Journeyperson certification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Experience in HVAC/R service—commercial background is a requirement.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC/R components, and maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with systems on mobile devices for job management tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and complete documentation accurately.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

- Field-based role with exposure to heat, cold, and noisy environments.
- May involve physical work including climbing, kneeling, reaching, or lifting.
- Work performed inside mechanical rooms, rooftops, or customer sites.
- Must be available for out-of-town work as required.
