Gentry Homes has been building quality custom homes for over 25 years, earning a reputation for craftsmanship, integrity, and exceptional customer service. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Junior or Intermediate Project Manager to join our team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in residential construction estimating and project coordination while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality custom homes. You will assist with preparing accurate cost estimates, issuing purchase orders, supporting project planning, and collaborating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using BuilderTrend.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Generate purchase orders in accordance with the project budgets and schedules, verifying scope, pricing, and cost allocations while maintaining accurate project records.
- Assist in developing project schedules, budgets,



and resource allocations to support successful project execution.
- Support senior project managers in tracking project progress, managing change orders, and resolving issues that arise during construction phases.
- Review subcontractor proposals and verify accuracy of pricing data to ensure cost control and profitability.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, bid submissions, and project correspondence for transparency and future reference.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by staying updated on industry trends, new estimating techniques, and construction best practices.

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years experience in current home construction estimating or project management; familiarity with custom projects is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Knowledge of construction estimating software such as BuilderTrend or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, terminology, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills essential for collaboration across teams.
