Kitchen Staff – Sector 17 (Sage Hill NW, Calgary)

Job Summary

As a Kitchen Staff member, you’ll play an essential role in preparing fresh, high-quality food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring every order meets our standards. Whether you have previous restaurant experience or are eager to learn, we provide a supportive environment where you can build valuable culinary and customer service skills.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to Sector 17 recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and served accurately and efficiently during busy service hours.
- Receive, organize, and properly store deliveries and kitchen inventory.
- Monitor ingredient levels and inform management when supplies need replenishment.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver an excellent dining experience.




- Follow all workplace health and safety policies.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or food service environment is an asset but not required.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg when required.
