We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Level 2 Certified Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care by supporting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring sterilization standards are met
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software such as Open Dental
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
- Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed,
including patient hand-offs and verifying patient medical history updates
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Sterilization of operatories, instruments and equipment following dental procedures & set-up operatory for the following patient
Qualifications
- Valid Level 2 Certified Dental Assistant license or certification from an accredited program
- Proven experience with dental assisting duties in a busy practice setting
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Open Dental for scheduling and record management
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
