About the Position

Ramazan Sweets is seeking an experienced Cook (Ethnic Foods) to prepare authentic, high-quality meals and assist in the daily operation of our kitchen. The successful candidate will have experience preparing ethnic cuisine while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
- Prepare authentic ethnic cuisine according to recipes and quality standards.
- Coordinate and assist with special events and catering orders.
- Manage daily kitchen operations.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
- Follow workplace health and safety regulations.




- Work effectively as part of the kitchen team.

Education

- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.

Experience

- 1 year to less than 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.

Cuisine Specialties

Experience preparing one or more of the following:

- South Indian Cuisine
- West Indian Cuisine
- International Cuisine
- Halal Cuisine

Languages

- English or French

Asset Languages

- Arabic
- Hindi
- Panjabi

Work Environment

- Restaurant
- On-site position

Preferred Qualification

- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
