About the role
We're hiring compassionate, dependable Health Care Aides to support clients in their home with the daily care that helps them stay safe, comfortable, and independent. You'll work alongside a nurse-led team that backs you up, respects your judgement, and gives you a real say in how care is delivered.
What you'll do
- Assist clients with personal care; bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Support transfers and repositioning using safe lifting practices and equipment
- Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and light housekeeping
- Provide medication assistance within your scope and per care plan
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition to the supervising nurse
- Document care accurately and on time
- Offer companionship and respectful, dignified support to every client
- Seizure Training and protocols
What you bring
- Health Care Aide certificate from a recognized Alberta program, or currently enrolled with eligibility for the British Columbia HCA Directory
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (Required)
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (within the last 6 months)
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle $2 Million Liability Insurance (Required)
- Solid communication skills and the patience to work with clients of varying needs
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate
Nice to have
- Experience in home care, continuing care,
dementia care, or palliative support
- Immunization records up to date, including TB screening
- Experience in working with Autistic Clients
What we offer
- Competitive wages at $28.50-32.00/hour
- 12 Hour Shifts 4 on 4 off Schedule (8:00am - 8:00pm)
