Golden Parrots Pub and Restaurant is looking for a Part Time Prep Cook.

This position is responsible for the preparation of fresh ingredients, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional taste and quality. This is a weekday position.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, making soups and sauces from scratch.
- Assist with cooking and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods
- Ensure all food is prepared according to the standard recipes and in accordance with health regulations and quality standards
- Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs

Qualifications





- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is required
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques such as braising, brining, baking, breading, and safe food handling practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting ingredients or equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
