OVERVIEW

On behalf of our client, an established mining company in Northern Ontario, is seeking an experienced Senior Production Geologist to join their team.

Reporting to Project Manager, the Senior Production Geologist is responsible for delivering sustainable and reliable mine geological services to support protected and efficient underground operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design, implement and perform grade control, geological mapping, orebody interpretation and effective reconciliations and resource definition practises and standard operating procedures.

· Design and implement and perform diamond drilling programs, core logging, and sampling and QAQC practises and procedures.

· Ensure geologic models, including short-term block modelling, are up-to-date and accurate. Collaborate with exploration teams on near-mine drilling programs.

· Supervise and mentor geologists, technologists, and field personnel involved in production geology activities.

· Ensure production geology activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

· Deliver monthly production reconciliation between mine and resource model.

· Prepare and deliver regular reports on geological performance, ore quality, and team KPIs.





· Identify and implement improvements to geological processes and technologies.

· Work cross-functionally with mine planning, engineering, operations and metallurgy teams to optimize resource extraction.

· Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

- 7+ years of relevant experience with a focus on underground mining operations
- Relevant post-secondary education required with a P.Geo designation
- Geological modeling software experience with sound knowledge of underground mining methods
- Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills
- Familiarity with health and safety practices in underground mining
