Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Python Developer to join our innovative technology team in a hybrid role (3 days per week onsite in Downtown Toront) for a 6 months contract opportunity with potential for extension. Duties

- Develop and enhance backend services using Python, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design RESTful APIs and web services that facilitate seamless data exchange.
- Implement microservices architecture to support scalable and modular application development.
- Integrate third-party APIs and develop custom integrations with systems such as AWS, Azure, and on-premises servers.
- Write clean, efficient code with a focus on security, testing, and maintainability; perform unit testing and debugging as needed.
- Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of codebase, system architecture, and deployment processes to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing.

Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python programming language with experience in object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.




- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks including Django or Flask for building web applications.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and related data formats for effective system integration.
- Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server; including database design and T-SQL scripting.
- Proficiency using version control tools such as GitHub, Git, SVN, or TFS for cooperative development.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 for full-stack development capabilities.
- Familiarity with application development best practices including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and TDD (Test-Driven Development).
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments for server management and scripting (Bash/Shell Scripting).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues through debugging tools within IDEs like Visual Studio or Eclipse.

Pay: $25.00-$70.00 per hour
