Construction Estimator – Residential Construction

Join our growing team and play an important role in delivering high-quality custom residential projects throughout the Okanagan. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator who is experienced in residential construction and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Review plans, drawings, specifications, and other project information to develop detailed and reliable construction estimates.
- Request, review, and assess quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors to establish competitive project pricing.
- Complete detailed quantity take-offs and calculate anticipated material, labour, and equipment costs.
- Maintain estimating tools, pricing databases, cost histories, and other records used to support accurate budgeting.
- Work closely with Project Managers to review project scope and confirm that estimated costs and budgets are aligned with project requirements.
- Review potential value engineering options and provide recommendations that improve cost efficiency while maintaining project standards.
- Explore opportunities to reduce project costs while protecting quality, schedule, and overall performance.




- Support procurement, trade selection, subcontractor negotiations, and related purchasing activities when required.
- Monitor construction industry trends and market fluctuations that may affect material costs, labour rates, and overall project pricing.

Qualifications & Experience

- At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating; residential construction experience is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of residential construction practices, building materials, and estimating methodologies.
- Strong numerical ability combined with sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to complete precise estimates within established deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and trade partners.
- Well-organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple estimates and priorities while contributing effectively to a collaborative project team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
