An Opportunity to Make an Impact on Membership

CPA Ontario is not like other organizations

We operate at a rare intersection, both regulator and membership body, responsible for upholding the integrity of the CPA designation while supporting more than 105,000 members and 19,000 students across the province. Our work sits between business and the public interest, between the evolving demands of industry and the standards that make trust possible.

Careers built here tend to look different because the work itself is different. You are not simply contributing to an organization. You are helping shape a profession that touches nearly every sector of the economy at a moment when expectations, technology, and the nature of work are all being rewritten.

About This Opportunity:

CPA Ontario is currently in search of an Admissions Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the administration, processing, and execution of various applications from individuals who are members of international accounting bodies. You will have the opportunity to apply bylaws, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to Internationally Trained Accountants (ITAs) and Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) in an environment that fosters customer service excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Champion the intake and processing of applications relating to Internationally Trained Accountants (ITAs) and Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs), including student registration and admission through agreements with accounting institutes and beyond. Apply bylaws, regulations, policies and procedures consistently so that each application is assessed accurately and in line with CPA Ontario standards.
- Respond to a high volume of emails and calls from students and applicants relating to student and admission programs. Provide clear, timely and professional service that helps applicants understand requirements, next steps and decisions.
- Prepare correspondence to current and potential members,

students and applicants, along with materials for periodic assessment meetings. Ensure documentation is accurate, complete and available to support review and decision making.
- Review and update the membership management database to ensure accuracy and integrity of data, and perform process improvement duties as necessary. Process and summarize research findings as requested and communicate with international accounting bodies and other provincial bodies when required.

To Be Successful You Need:

- A post-secondary graduate with a degree or diploma and a minimum of 3 years of skilled work experience in a complex, rules and standards driven regulatory, membership or customer-oriented environment.
- A dynamic and well-rounded administrator with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, able to work well under pressure, while meeting time-sensitive and competing deadlines.
- Experienced with CRM systems such as Salesforce and comfortable learning new tools; experience with Power BI considered an asset.
- Digitally fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Committed to ongoing training and a desire to learn new technology and continually expand upon knowledge and expertise.
- A personable relationship builder and communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- A strong communicator (verbally and written) with excellent interpersonal, presentation, relationship building, customer service and negotiating skills.

Salary Range

- The starting annual salary range for this position is between $53,000 - $66,300 per annum,

based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
