Duties

- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable service on meat products, cuts, and preparation options
- Prepare meat by performing precise butchery tasks, including cutting, trimming, and portioning according to store standards
- Handle food products safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness at all times
- Package meat products securely for display or customer purchase, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations




- Restock and organize meat displays to ensure attractive presentation and product availability
- Support food preparation activities in the kitchen or back-of-house areas as needed to meet customer demand

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or butchery, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and proper food handling practices
- Familiarity with food safety standards and packaging procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy items safely
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Certification in food safety or related training is advantageous
