Key Areas of Responsibilities
· Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will perform a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping functions in the organization.
· General Accounts Receivable Functions
· Prepare and submit customer invoices
· Code, post and receipt payments
· Prepare and coordinate deposit activities
· Perform all necessary account, credit card statements, bank and other reconciliations
· Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
· General Accounts Payable Functions
· Check, verify and process invoices
· Prepare payments for signature
· Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
· Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
· Maintain vendor files
· Perform all necessary account, credit card statements, bank and other reconciliations
· Collect, confirm and process time sheets and overtime
· Verify taxes and other deductions
· Prepare and distribute payroll checks
· Track employee vacation and sick time
· General Support Functions
· Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
· Assist in preparing procedures, reports and financial statements
· Enter, verify, and reconcile transactions, payroll, purchase orders, cheque requisitions, invoices and bank statements
· Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
· Track and audit petty cash
· Assist with employee expense reports
· Perform filing and general administrative tasks
· Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors
· Other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Diploma or Certificate in Accounting preferred
- Minimum 2 years of office environment and accounting experience
- Punctual with strong attendance history
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current with relevant technology trends and applications with an aptitude to learn new applications
- Previous travel industry experience would be an asset

Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly compensation starting at $22.00, with a higher rate offered based on relevant education, certifications, accounting experience, and/or travel industry experience
- Performance incentive bonuses based on work completion, productivity, speed, and accuracy, with the opportunity to earn $500+ per month in additional compensation, particularly during the initial phase

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: Starting at $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications, plus performance-based incentives.
