Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Expert Barista / Latte Artist to join our vibrant coffee team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in food and beverage service, exceptional customer service skills, and a keen eye for artistic latte designs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft high-quality beverages, engage with customers, and contribute to a welcoming coffeehouse environment. Strong previous experience as an expert barista is highly valued for this position. Strong background of crafting specialty espresso based drinks in a high paced setting as well as strong knowledge and understanding the maintenance of espresso equipment. Previous Rosary experience is a bonus.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including specialty lattes and artistic foam designs.
- Operate POS systems such as SQARE POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained during beverage preparation and serving.
- Manage food preparation tasks related to beverages and light snacks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, including UBER system, cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and ingredients regularly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive customer experience.
- Amazing customer service skills and creating a welcoming environment at all times is a must, as well as keeping the cafe clean at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista with expertise in latte art.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square for order processing and cashiering.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and hygiene practices.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and constant clean environmen.
- Previous experience in serving or food preparation is preferred but not required.
- Previous Roastery experience and/or understanding Espresso Machine maintenance is a Bonus.
