CLINICAL INFORMATICS ANALYST

DIGITAL HEALTH & PROJECT DELIVERY

Regular Full-Time Position

The West Parry Sound Health Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Informatics Analyst. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Health & Project Delivery, the Clinical Informatics Analyst supports the safe, effective and person-centred use of clinical information systems across the Health Centre. Working at the intersection of clinical practice, operations and technology, the Analyst partners with clinical and non-clinical teams to assess workflows, translate operational needs into system requirements, optimize digital tools and support the implementation and ongoing adoption of clinical applications.

The position uses clinical informatics principles, data and change-management practices to improve documentation, communication, care coordination, quality, efficiency and user experience. The Analyst serves as a liaison among frontline users, leaders, Information Technology, vendors and project teams while promoting privacy, cybersecurity, data integrity, standardization and patient safety.

This is a Non-Union position, working primarily regular hours, Monday to Friday, and will include non-business hours from time to time to meet operational requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Clinical Workflow and System Optimization

- Translate clinical and business requirements into clear functional specifications, workflow maps, configuration requests, test scenarios and implementation plans, evaluate and optimize. Assess the impact of proposed changes on patient care, clinical practice, workload, privacy, downtime procedures, downstream systems and reporting.

Implementation, Testing and Support





- Develop test plans and scripts; coordinate and perform functional, integrated, regression and user-acceptance testing; document results and support issue resolution.
- Support go-live readiness, command-centre activities, at-the-elbow support, stabilization and post-implementation evaluation.

Education, Adoption and Change Management

- Create and maintain user guides, workflows, tip sheets, e-learning content, standard work and other learning resources.
- Deliver or support role-based education, demonstrations, workflow validation sessions and coaching for end users, super users and leaders.

Data, Quality and Evaluation

- Prepare status updates, dashboards, reports, presentations and recommendations for project teams, committees and leaders.
- Identify opportunities to use data, automation, interoperability and digital tools to improve care delivery and reduce unnecessary administrative burden.

Governance, Privacy and Professional Practice

- Participate in relevant working groups, project teams, change-control processes and clinical or digital-health governance committees.

Qualifications:

- College diploma and/or Degree with Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse designation required.
- A current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Other Regulated Health Professionals may also be considered.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in healthcare, clinical informatics, digital health, workflow improvement or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records and other clinical applications in an acute-care, ambulatory, community or integrated healthcare environment.
- Experience gathering requirements, mapping workflows, testing systems, supporting implementations and educating adult learners.
- Ability to translate between clinical, operational and technical stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly.
- Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality,



data governance, cybersecurity and patient-safety principles within Ontario healthcare.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams, vendors and multiple concurrent projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs, including current core suite software applications, including Meditech, Microsoft, Risk Live Solutions, and Staff Right
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references.

Compensation & Benefits:

$90,959 to $111,173 annually, depending on experience.
