Position Overview:

This position plays an important support role within PREP’s manufacturing team, assisting technicians, machinists, and assembly specialists with daily production activities. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining efficiency and organization in the workshop by preparing, cleaning, and organizing parts, equipment, and work areas.

This role is ideal for an individual with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working in a cooperative, technical environment. The Shop Helper contributes directly to production quality, workplace safety, and operational flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing and Assembly Support

- Assist assembly and service technicians with manufacturing, assembly, and rebuild tasks.
- Clean and prepare parts for assembly and installation.
- Support facility maintenance and organization activities as required.

Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics

- Pack and unpack incoming and outgoing shipments as directed.
- Prepare finished products for shipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training available if required).
- Ensure all materials are handled, stored, and moved safely and efficiently.

Shop Maintenance and Organization

- Maintain cleanliness and general order in work areas.
- Support equipment upkeep and assist with routine facility maintenance.
- Follow safety policies and contribute to a clean, hazard-free environment.

Work Location and Work Arrangement:

This is a full-time,



on-site position at our Surrey, BC facility. Hands-on attendance is required to support production operations and physical tasks in the shop.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Excellent communication skills in English; both written and verbal.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire.
- Highly organized and hard working, with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Can work effectively in a team environment and independently to complete tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude with some power/hand tool experience.
- Positive attitude, reliable, and safety minded.
- Basic computer skills (email, Word documents).
- Industrial electrical or mechanical experience is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude; previous machine shop or industrial environment experience is an asset.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred (training available).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must provide a clean driver’s abstract and maintain a clean driving record.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
