DZ Class Driver – Full-Time Night Shift

Overview

We are recruiting two (2) Full-time DZ-Class Commercial Straight Truck Drivers for our client's Mississauga, ON location. This role is responsible for the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of floral products, using company-owned/leased commercial straight trucks (not exceeding 11,000 kg).

Schedule: 1:00 AM – 9:30 AM, 40 hours/week, with occasional overtime as required.

All new hires will complete a driving test at the start of training.

Responsibilities

- Perform pick-ups and deliveries using a company-owned/leased commercial straight truck (max. 11,000 kg)
- Accurately count and confirm order quantities prior to delivery
- Load and unload trucks safely, ensuring floral products are handled with care
- Complete daily truck logs and submit mileage reports
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical concerns
- Pick up empty racks from delivery locations and return them to the warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and shipping area
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and fellow drivers
- Represent our client with polite, courteous, and professional behavior at all delivery locations
- Comply with all company and government transportation regulations
- Assist warehouse teams with general duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of commercial straight truck driving experience required
- Valid DZ Class Driver's License
- Clean driver's abstract (current driving record required)
- Spanish is an asset,



Advance English level required
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong verbal communication, reading, writing, and critical thinking skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move product up to approximately 50 lbs
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions, troubleshoot equipment, and find recent routes when needed
- Comfortable working in cold environments (0°C to 10°C)
- Adaptable availability, including overtime, weekends, and peak floral seasons
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English required; Spanish is an asset
- Prior floral, production, or assembly experience is an asset
