We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on commercial trucks and trailers.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications using various hand tools and power tools to restore equipment functionality
- Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance procedures or assist with heavy lifting tasks as needed
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders,
and maintenance logs for all repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of components during major repairs or upgrades
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment
- Strong electrical knowledge including reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical systems in trucks or trailers
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and the use of power tools for repairs or modification
