Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and personable Pro Shop Attendant for a private, members-only golf club. This seasonal position involves various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role is dynamic and requires the ability to work independently while ensuring a welcoming and professional workplace for our members. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Type: Seasonal, Full-Time, Part-time

Expected Hours: 20-35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing tee time bookings
- Handling cash and processing payments for services and merchandise
- Answering phone calls and assisting members with inquiries or bookings
- Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Preparing and serving light meals and snacks
- Monitoring tee times and engaging with members to maintain a smooth pace of play
- Retrieving and cleaning members' golf clubs
- Daily upkeep of the clubhouse, pro shop, and locker rooms
- Verifying, pricing, and restocking merchandise
- Processing member invoices
- Refueling golf carts
- Assisting with other tasks as needed

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, comfortable speaking with people and able to work independently. Previous golf, retail, customer service or food and beverage experience is an asset,



but we are willing to train the right person.

This is a seasonal position running from now until October 31. Some evenings and weekends will be required.

We are particularly interested in finding someone who would like to return next season and continue working at Big Bay Point Golf and Country Club as part of our seasonal team.

Qualifications:

Essential (Required Before Applying):

- Smart Serve certification
- Experience handling cash and credit card transactions

Desirable:

- Previous experience in a golf pro shop
- Experience in food and beverage service
- Familiarity with QuickBooks
- Ontario Food Handling Certificate

License/Certification:

- Smart Serve Certificate (required)
