About the Role
As a Community Disability Practitioner, you will support adults with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs within a group living environment. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and actively participate in their community.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Providing emotional, behavioural, and physical support
- Assisting with daily living activities and personal care
- Supporting community involvement and recreational activities
- Accompanying individuals to appointments and outings
- Implementing support plans and promoting independence
- Completing documentation and reports accurately
- Contributing to a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment

Schedule
21 Hours per Week (Temporary until July 2027)

- Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

- Certificate or Diploma in Human Services, Disability Studies, Community Rehabilitation, or a related field
- Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Reliable vehicle with minimum $2 million liability insurance
- Comfortable supporting individuals with diverse abilities and complex needs

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in the human services field
- Experience in a group home setting
- Experience providing personal care
- Knowledge of autism, behavioural supports, and de-escalation techniques
- Current certifications such as:
- First Aid/CPR
- Medication Administration
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
- Abuse Prevention Response Protocol (APRP)
- Positive Behaviour Supports (PBS)

- Starting wage of $21.19/hour
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.50/km
