ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN

Working collaboratively within the Finance Department, the Accounting Technician handles basic bookkeeping tasks such as recording financial transactions, processing bills, and preparing various reconciliations. This is achieved through:

· Having positive communication and interpersonal skills.

· Having strong organization skills with a high-level attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Print, collect, and post invoices, ensuring accurate coding, on a daily basis

· Prepare and mail cheques on a weekly basis

· Prepare and drop off deposits at the bank on a weekly basis

· Reconcile bank accounts, visas, petty cash on a monthly basis

· Send out budget-to-actuals to department heads on a quarterly basis

· Assist with audit on an annual basis

· Other items as requested by the Director of Finance on an ad hoc basis (review expenses for irregularities,



relief for front desk, manage long service awards and gifts, assist with mail distribution, set up photocopier codes, refill postage meter)

Essential Qualifications:

· Accounting diploma or certificate

· 3+ years in an accounting role

· Highly organized

· Detailed oriented

Working Hours:

· Shift is 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday

· Available to start September 1, 2026
