This posting is for a currently existing role.

What You’ll Do

- Set up and stock the sushi station with all necessary ingredients and supplies
- Prepare sushi items, including maki, nigiri, sashimi, rolls, sauces and garnishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure the station is fully prepared for service
- Prepare and portion fish, vegetables, rice and other ingredients with care and consistency
- Maintain quality, freshness and proper food handling at all times




- Work closely with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure timely preparation and to accommodate special requests and food allergies
- Follow all sanitation, hygiene and workplace safety standards
- Assist with stocking, inventory and notifying management of low supplies
- Keep the work area clean, organized and sanitized throughout the shift and at closing
- Follow the direction of the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager and maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and guests

What You’ll Need

- Previous experience as a Sushi Cook or in an Asian/Japanese restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation, including maki, nigiri, sashimi, cutting techniques, and rolling methods
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and calmly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food presentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, including Ontario
- Culinary school certification is an asset
