The Mechanic is responsible for repairs and the maintenance of diesel powered tractor-trailers, for both internal and external customers, as well as ensuring the road worthiness of company and leased equipment.
Responsibility
- Preventative maintenance on Trailers but must be open to work on trucks as well.
- Preventative maintenance on checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, PM's, electrical work, brakes, suspension and product pump rebuilds.
- ABS Diagnostics
- Welding
- Follow safety and use of proper PPE.
- Follow procedures.
Qualifications
- Red Seal is an asset.
- CVIP Certification is an asset.
- Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
- Operation of hand and air tools.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Some overtime maybe required
Pay details
- $35.00 - $40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
