About the Opportunity
OnSite Staffing is currently hiring experienced Material Handlers (Order Pickers) for a leading Canadian retail distribution company. This organization operates a large, modern distribution centre that supplies products to hundreds of retail locations across the country. They pride themselves on maintaining a safe, fast-paced, and team-oriented warehouse environment.
This is a full time, permanent position working on assignment through OnSite Staffing, with consistent hours and excellent opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Operate powered warehouse equipment including Walkie Rider, Center Rider, and other electric material handling equipment
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF Scanner
- Safely transport pallets throughout the warehouse
- Meet or exceed daily pick rate and productivity quotas
- Ensure all orders are picked accurately and free of errors
- Verify product quantities and locations before completing orders
- Stage completed pallets for shipping
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of order picking experience operating a Walkie Rider, Center Rider, or similar powered material handling equipment
- Valid material handling equipment certification (Walkie Rider, Center Rider, etc.)
- Experience using RF Scanners
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to consistently meet productivity and picking targets
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
- Must be available to work full-time Monday through Saturday
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation to and from work
