With an ambitious vision to become Canada’s premier specialty subcontractor, FundyPros continues to invest in exceptional people, operational excellence, and long-term client relationships.

As the company continues its significant growth trajectory, FundyPros is seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator to play a critical role in driving profitable growth while empowering the estimating team to deliver accurate, timely, and competitive estimates.

This is more than a traditional estimating role, it is an opportunity to influence strategy, mentor future leaders, strengthen customer relationships, and help shape the future of the estimating function.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in drywall and interior systems estimating, exceptional commercial judgment, and a passion for delivering winning solutions that create value for both clients and the business.

What you’ll be doing

- Lead quantity take-offs and prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for large, complex, and high-value drywall, steel stud, insulation, and interior systems projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to fully qualify project scope while identifying constructability concerns, commercial risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities.
- Prepare competitive tender submissions that balance profitability with market competitiveness while meeting all submission deadlines.

- Conduct thorough pre-submission bid reviews to ensure scope completeness, pricing accuracy, risk mitigation, and overall bid quality.
- Apply value engineering principles to develop innovative alternatives that improve project competitiveness while maintaining quality and profitability.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to evaluate project conditions and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Own assigned bid opportunities from initial receipt through project award, ensuring proactive management throughout the sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct timely post-bid follow-up to gather client feedback, strengthen relationships, and improve future bid performance.
- Consistently achieve or exceed established quotation conversion targets.
- Mentor and coach Estimators through technical guidance, estimate reviews, and ongoing knowledge sharing.
- Foster consistency in estimating practices while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
- Review estimates prepared by other team members, providing coaching and constructive feedback to improve quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate labour production rates, subcontractor pricing, cost databases, and estimating tools.
- Identify commercial and contractual risks that may impact project profitability and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

- Contribute to the long-term growth of the estimating function, with the opportunity to evolve into a broader leadership role as the business continues to expand.

What we are looking for
