Job description

We are a busy family practice looking for a Part-time Medical Office Assistant who is compassionate, self-directed, and detail-oriented to join our team.

The successful candidate for this position is a team player who is efficient, hardworking, and organized. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and should be able to multitask and work well under pressure.

Position brief: PT position (approx. 20 hours a week)

- Previous experience as an MOA in a medical office is a must
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) certificate required
- Previous experience with JUNO/Oscar EMR is preferred

Duties (include, but not limited to):

- Answering the phone
- Calling patients to book appointments
- Processing EMR messages
- Dealing with patients when checking in, confirming/updating their contact information, scheduling appointments, and answering questions they may have
- Processing mail, scans, and fax
- Cleaning exam rooms and preparing/stocking rooms with the necessary supplies or when needed
- Bringing patients into the exam rooms
- Processing medical equipment when patients' vitals are needed (height/length, weight, BP, urinalysis, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS





- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works well independently as well as in a team environment
- Good working relationship with their colleagues, office manager and physicians
- Friendly and qualified towards patients
- Ability to take initiative and multitask
- Excellent organizational skills

Wage: $20-23 per hour

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Experience:

- OSCAR EMR: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical Office Assistant: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Medical Office Assistant Certificate (required)
