Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cycle counts throughout the warehouse to verify inventory accuracy using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Analyze inventory discrepancies by mining data and performing detailed data analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, sourcing, and purchasing teams to reconcile stock levels and support procurement strategies.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to report on inventory trends, process improvements, and supply chain performance metrics.
- Assist in demand planning by providing accurate stock data to support forecasting models and demand forecasts.
- Support order fulfillment processes by ensuring materials are correctly allocated and available for timely shipment.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse distribution efficiency, reducing errors,
and streamlining cycle counting procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely during inventory counts or materials handling tasks when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with data collection, analysis skills, and data analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and materials management principles.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning platforms.
- Knowledge of demand planning, procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and retail management practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with vendors or internal stakeholders to optimize sourcing and procurement activities.
- Ability to perform detailed data mining and visualization to support decision-making processes.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is preferred but not mandatory; certification is a plus.
- Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to analyze workflows and recommend efficiencies in warehouse operations.
