We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker/Joiner to join our energetic woodworking and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality custom cabinets, furniture, and architectural woodwork, transforming detailed blueprints and schematics into beautifully finished products. Your expertise will contribute to a wide range of projects in the high end Kelowna residential renovation market. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately produce cabinetry and woodwork components
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish custom cabinets and furniture using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
- Install cabinetry, shelving, and other wood fixtures on-site with precision and care
- Perform restoration work on existing wood structures or furniture to restore their original appearance and functionality
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met throughout the manufacturing and installation process
- Conduct quality inspections at various stages of production to maintain high standards of craftsmanship
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or cabinetry with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during manufacturing or installation tasks
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
