Banquet Hall Setup & Maintenance Staff – Full-Time / Part-Time

The Guelph Estate Convention Centre & Banquet Hall is looking for a reliable, hardworking Banquet Hall Setup & Maintenance Staff member to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who is physically fit, dependable, and comfortable with hands-on work in a busy banquet hall environment.

Responsibilities

- Set up and tear down banquet halls for weddings, parties, corporate events, and other functions
- Move and arrange heavy tables and chairs
- Load, unload, move, and store banquet equipment and furniture
- Set up tables, chairs, staging, and other event equipment
- Remove tables, chairs, and equipment after events
- Perform sweeping, mopping, and general floor cleaning
- Operate a walk-behind floor scrubber/mopping machine
- Keep halls, storage areas, and service areas clean and organized
- Assist with general cleaning and maintenance duties
- Help prepare the venue before events and restore it after events
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work efficiently as part of a team during busy events
- Perform other general duties as required by management





Requirements

- Must be physically fit and able to lift and move heavy tables and chairs
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to cleanliness and detail
- Must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must have a positive attitude and skilled appearance
