Koolatron Corporation is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of manufacturing, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, purchasing, and supply chain coordination. The successful candidate will lead plant personnel while working closely with our India support team to ensure efficient procurement, inventory management, reporting, and operational execution.
The role requires a strong leader capable of improving productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, customer service levels, and operational efficiency through disciplined processes, KPI management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations
- Manage daily manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Supervise production staff and team leads.
- Ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently, and on time.
- Monitor labor utilization, productivity, quality, and throughput.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving
- Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, inventory control, order picking, and shipping.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and cycle count compliance.
- Manage inbound and outbound freight activities.
- Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and distribution partners.
- Implement warehouse process improvements and KPI reporting.
Purchasing & Supply Chain
- Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and operational supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to meet operational requirements.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and competitive pricing.
- Support supplier evaluation, negotiations, and performance management.
- Coordinate purchase order planning and forecast requirements.
Coordination with India Operations Team
- Work closely with teams in India for purchasing, sourcing, logistics, and order management teams.
- Ensure timely processing of purchase orders, supplier follow-up, shipment tracking, and inventory reporting.
- Establish KPIs and reporting standards for support teams.
- Coordinate daily priorities and resolve operational exceptions.
- Participate in regular meetings with India and overseas teams to support seamless information flow and execution.
- Inventory & Systems
- Maintain accurate inventory records and inventory controls.
- Utilize ERP and reporting tools to analyze operational performance.
- Develop metrics and dashboards related to inventory, purchasing, shipping, receiving, and production performance.
- Support implementation of automation and process improvements.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly employees.
- Conduct performance reviews and establish accountability standards.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, quality, and customer focus.
- Support recruitment, training, and succession planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of operations management experience in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain.
- Experience managing production, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and inventory control functions.
- Robust understanding of ERP systems, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Proven leadership and employee development skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with experience coordinating cross-functional and international teams.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
