Responsibilities
- Supervise staff
- Train staff
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
- Conduct performance reviews
- Cost products and services
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation
- Leading/instructing individuals
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Provide customer service
- Manage events
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
- Staff recruitment and selection
- Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or eqivalent
- 3 to 5 years experience.
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment with strong team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry standards.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Background in restaurant management with a focus on hospitality, customer service, and food safety protocols.
- Ability to lead by example through excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in interviewing potential team members and building effective work teams within a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations including food handling, food safety certifications, and restaurant experience preferred; barista or hotel experience is a plus.Join us to lead an energetic team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences!
