Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This role works closely with the licensed Pharmacist and Store Manager, helping ensure smooth daily operations of the pharmacy. The successful candidate will assist with administrative duties, prescription processing, and customer support in a professional healthcare setting.

Primary Responsibilities

- Assist the pharmacist in ensuring the pharmacy operates in accordance with federal, provincial, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide friendly and professional assistance to customers
- Enter prescription information into the system with accuracy and attention to detail
- Prepare and label prescriptions correctly while ensuring proper handling of medications
- Help monitor inventory levels and place orders for stock when required
- Receive deliveries and ensure medications and supplies are stored appropriately and organized properly
- Support the team during inventory counts and audits




- Assist with front store merchandising and cashier responsibilities when needed
- Maintain clear communication with pharmacists and other team members to support daily operations
- Carry out additional duties or tasks as required by the pharmacy team

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous pharmacy experience is required
- Familiarity with Kroll and PharmaNet systems is required
- Solid organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a team environment
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Comfortable working with computers and pharmacy systems
- Ability to lift and move inventory boxes when necessary (within safe capacity; any medical restrictions should be discussed with the supervisor)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
