We are seeking a skilled Licensed Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, dealership work, and maintenance, with a robust background in mechanical systems and tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The Licensed Mechanic will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service through expert repairs and efficient service.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify issues and execute repairs accurately
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move parts or equipment safely
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure all repairs meet quality control standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and recommended services clearly
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to vehicle repair and workshop operations
