Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Dispatcher on behalf of our client, a well-established transportation company in the Fraser Valley. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong communication and organizational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating schedules, customers, drivers, and deliveries.

Position Details

- Location: Fraser Valley, BC
- Job Type: Full-Time, Evaluation Hire
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Breaks: Two paid 15-minute breaks
- Pay: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities

As a Dispatcher, you will help coordinate daily transportation and delivery activities while providing excellent service to customers and drivers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Answering and managing a high volume of incoming calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Coordinating equipment pickups and deliveries to ensure efficient scheduling
- Receiving and accurately processing customer orders
- Communicating with drivers and monitoring equipment movements
- Following up on pickups and deliveries to help ensure they are completed on time
- Preparing and processing cross-border shipping documentation
- Troubleshooting scheduling, transportation, and customer concerns
- Providing professional customer service to customers, drivers, and internal team members
- Maintaining accurate records and dispatch documentation
- Managing multiple priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Working independently to ensure daily dispatch activities are completed accurately and on schedule

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics,



or similar experience is an asset
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of cross-border shipping documentation is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- A dependable, respectful, and positive attitude
- A willingness to support coworkers and contribute to a collaborative workplace
