Castle Construction is looking for Pipelayers and Labourers to work in our growing Underground Division.

Job Description:

- Properly install sanitary and storm sewer piping and structures on grade as per drawing and specification
- Properly install water mains on proper grade and alignment
- Assist operators in excavation of trenches
- Grade and level trench bases, using laser equipment and properly tamping in preparation of pipe laying
- Check and confirm grade using laser equipment or transit level and grade rod

Relevant Skills:

- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Ability to safely and accurately cut and bevel pipe
- Ability to safely and efficiently operator power tools and cutting equipment, power saws, and chain saws
- Ability to effectively communicate with crew members
- Ability to think logically and independently
- Ability to fill out basic paperwork including Field Level Hazard Assessments




- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work away from home

Qualifications:

- No experience required for labourers, however is an asset
- 1+ years as an underground pipelayer
- Drivers license required
- Safety requirements: CSTS, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, Ground Disturbance. *Training assistance can be given to the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
