Excavator Operator

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Greater Edmonton Area
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 50 hours per week, with overtime and occasional weekends

We’re looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join the FORCE Team. This is a year-round position for someone who can operate safely, work efficiently, and take ownership of the quality of their work.

Our projects move quickly, and expectations are high. The right operator will be dependable, productive, precise, and willing to pitch in wherever the job requires.

What You’ll Do

- Complete residential basement excavations
- Safely expose and work around existing power and gas facilities
- Complete site cuts, grading, backfilling, and related residential excavation work
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Work safely and efficiently around crews, equipment, homeowners, and active construction sites
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, builders, and other team members
- Help keep projects organized, productive, and moving forward

What We’re Looking For

- Experience operating excavators in residential construction
- Strong experience with basement excavation is a major asset
- Confidence working safely around live power and gas facilities
- Ability to read site conditions and complete work accurately
- Strong awareness of equipment, surroundings, and underground hazards
- Dependable attendance and a skilled attitude
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends when required




- A team-first mindset and the ability to take direction while also working independently
