The Tree House Family Resource Centre

Pay: Salary range: $26.50-$27.50/ hr.

Location: Deer Lake, NL

Status: Fulltime, 35 hours per week

Start Date: As soon as possible

The Tree House Family Resource Centre offers prenatal and family programs to families with children birth-6 years. We believe social support enhances healthy child development and builds strong families. The Tree House region includes six (6) areas: Deer Lake, Pasadena, White Bay, Bonne Bay South, Gros Morne, and Long Range. Each region includes several communities to which its Tree House location serves. Our team of ten (10) staff serve in centres located in Deer Lake (5), Pasadena (2), Bonne Bay South (1), Long Range/Gros Morne (1), and White Bay (1).

Are you a team leader, great communicator, organized and have a passion for families & seeing them thrive? The Tree House Family Resource Centre is seeking an Executive Director to provide leadership to staff and manage day to day operations while working closely with our Board of Directors. The successful candidate will give leadership and supervision to nine staff and their Tree House regions/centres. The ED will give direction on present Work Plan goals/future vision casting, and overall management of programming including pre-and post-natal, families with children ages birth to six, and programs for parents/caregivers.

Qualifications:

- Experience/ability in human resources,



staff supervision and administrative management
- Strong written and oral communication, time management, facilitation and organizational skills
- Flexible, caring, and highly personable individual with experience overseeing & working in a team workplace
- Strong financial understanding with the ability to manage budgets and financial resources effectively/skilled in planning/proposals, reporting and presentations
- Support and consult with participants to hear their needs and feedback on programming
- Knowledge of pre-& postnatal issues, early years development, family dynamics & parenting
- Proficient in a variety of computer programs, (Microsoft Office, google docs, etc.)
- Availability to work evenings, mainly for Board of Director meetings
- Assist with daily programming, family and community events as needed
- Successful completion of post-secondary education in the field of community development, social services, and child care/family services or in a related discipline an asset
- Valid driver’s license, with reliable vehicle for work purposes. Mileage for work purposes will be reimbursed at provincial rate
- Court Check/Vulnerable Sector Check required upon hire
