Law Clerk – Employment Law

Location: Toronto, Ontario (In-Person)
Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Law Clerk to join our Employment Group. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple matters from intake to resolution under the supervision of our Employment lawyers. This is an in-person role based at our Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft and prepare correspondence, pleadings, and court documents (e.g., Statements of Claim, Responses, Motion Records, Briefs).
- Manage filing and document organization through Clio Manage and related software.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional and efficient manner.
- Assist with file opening, billing, and document production for mediations and hearings.
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court timelines.




- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries as needed.
- Support lawyers with hearing preparation and administrative follow-ups.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 1 years of experience as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant in employment or civil litigation.
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education required.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario court procedures and Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Experience with Clio Manage, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and professional demeanor.
